Privacy Policy
As of August 25, 2017
Beard Group, Inc., takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy tells you what your rights are, and the rules we follow to protect your personal information. Please take a moment to read through it, so you understand what information we collect, and how we might use it. Peter A. Chapman is our designated privacy officer. You can reach Mr. Chapman by e-mail at peter@beardgroup.com or by telephone at (215) 945-7000, and he would be delighted to hear from you if you have any questions or need any additional information.
We may collect some information about you when you visit our site. This information does not identify you. For example, it may include what web browser you use, your preferred language, and when you visited the site. This is commonly called non-identifying information.
We use non-identifying information to understand how our visitors use our Web site, so that we can make it even better. We also use it to track things like user trends and behavior on our Web site. From time-to-time, we may create a report that is made public based on non-identifying information. For example, we may do this to show user trends on our Web site.
We may also share this information with third parties (including select vendors, customers, partners and affiliated entities). This report probably won't include information that personally identifies you, but it might. It will include the non-identifying information we collected when you used our site.
If you decide to use some features of our Web site, you may be asked to give us personally identifying information. For example, if you sign up for our mailing list, you will need to give us your name and e-mail address. We only collect information that is necessary. For example, we don't ask for your age when you send us a message through our Web site.
You always have the option to refuse to give personal information. But, if you don't share the necessary personal information, you might not be able to use certain features of our Web site. For example, you won't be able to send us an e-mail message, subscribe to Turnarounds & Workouts, or learn about any of our other products without giving us your e-mail address and name.
We don't ordinarily sell or share personally identifying information with anyone, unless required by law, required to provide services you requested, or if we are acquired by another company (more on this below), but we might, by accident or by design.
We protect personally identifying information by using reasonable measures to prevent the unauthorized use, access, alteration, or destruction of the information, with the same level of care and prudence with which we safeguard all of our assets.
We don't ordinarily sell or rent personally identifying information to anyone. But we might at some point in the future. For information that is or may be personally identifying, we only share it with employees, contractors, or other organizations that need to know the information to provide services or process it, and have agreed not to share the information with others. That too might change in the future. We will share the information (only to the extent necessary) if we are asked by a court or other governmental agency for the information, or we believe it is reasonably necessary to share the information to protect us, third parties, or the general public.
If you supply us with your e-mail address, we may send you occasional e-mail messages about other products and services we sell or to get feedback from you. You can unsubscribe from these additional electronic mailings at any time by contacting us, and we'll do our best to stop the flow of unwanted information.
A cookie is a small piece of data that a Web site stores on your computer when you visit. Your computer will then give that cookie to the Web site each time you return for a visit. Cookies can be used for many things. We may use cookies to help us understand how and when visitors use our site, your Web site preferences, and a little bit about who you are, to the extent a cookie can reveal that information. For example, we may learn what country you come from, that you read Web sites in English, and that you use a Macbook or PC. We may also do this through the use of cookies from third-party sites, like Google Analytics.
If you don't want cookies to be saved to your computer, you can change your browser settings to refuse cookies. But, keep in mind that you may not be able to use all the features of our Web site if you do this.
If we, one of our products, or one of our affiliated entities are sold to another company (in whole or in part), or if we go out of business or file for bankruptcy, your personal information will have to be given to a third party. By continuing to use this Web site, you acknowledge that this may happen, and that the third party who acquires the information about you may continue to use it in the way set out by this Privacy Policy.
We may, from time-to-time and in our sole discretion, change this Privacy Policy at any time for any reason or for no reason. If you continue to use this Web site after a change to the Privacy Policy, it means you have accepted the changes we made. It is your responsibility to check this page for any updates.
